Corporate Runaways began with a dream of overland motorcycle travel. One day, we decided to travel from Boston to Ushuaia on motorcycle, and we started this site to chronicle our preparations for the trip, and the trip itself.
Check out our Boston to Ushuaia trip here.
Instead of sating our thirst for travel, though, the Boston to Ushuaia trip just awakened a travel compulsion, so we’re currently in the midst of planning and prepping for an around-the-world adventure.
In the meantime, though, we’ll document our smaller trips here, too, as we test out gear and prepare ourselves, our motorcycles – and yes, our dogs! – for the next big trip.
[UPDATE MARCH 2015]
We’re still prepping for an around-the-world adventure. The form of that adventure keeps changing, though. We took a couple of trips with the dogs on a Ural:
And then we got a VW Vanagon camper van, fixed it up and took a trip to Points West. That highlighted a need for more refining. We’re currently hoping to hit the road for our around-the-world adventure in 2016. It’d have been a lot sooner if we didn’t keep buying these vehicles and paying out the wazoo to kit them out! We’ve had a lot of fun mini-adventures, though, as we’ve experimented with different vehicles and travel styles to find out more about how we want to travel.
